Kinja'd!!!4 Kinja'd!!! 3

After seeing a post about !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I wanted to see if I could find any other interesting things in the area.

Thanks to modern technology like Google maps we don't have to wait 30 years to see things that people abandoned after a nuclear disaster. Google maps never fails to amaze. Here we see a group of guys without any protective equipment and what looks like a remote control helicopter.

Kinja'd!!!

Could someone who reads Japanese translate this?

Kinja'd!!!

These look like sand bags used to stop water still laying on the road from the tsunami.

Kinja'd!!!

These little pick up trucks are everywhere. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Are they the equivalent of Japan's farm truck that they are so worthless people just leave them behind?

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Nice little minivan left in the same neighborhood. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

I guess this means the road is closed. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Here we have an office building with a parking lot that has some cars. Sadly they will never leave that lot. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

I am surprised that an abandoned city still has functional traffic lights. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Some more abandoned cars. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

A couple more cars left on the side of the road next to a vending machine full of drinks. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Free cesium energy drinks anyone? !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Go home house, you are drunk. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

This house shows that this whole area was flooded so most if not all of the cars you see are flood cars.

Kinja'd!!!

As abandoned as this area may be there are still locals driving around. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Is that a Previa? !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

More cesium energy drinks. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

This used to be a parking lot. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

I don't think this will be paving any more roads. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

New Daihatsus at a blow out prices! Get yours today! !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Looks like all Imprezas were sold out but some vintage stuff remains at this Subaru dealer. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

The want is strong with this one. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Some abandoned Ricoh company cars. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Something tells me this gas station still has gas in the tanks which will remain there forever. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Also, who knew Japan has a gas station chain pronounced as anus. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

What's this? An apartment building? Whatever it is, there is an Alfa Romeo GTV6 in the parking lot. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Family pets left behind are surviving on their own. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

If I had to guess I would say this bus is carrying workers home from the plant. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Another worker with no real protective gear. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

I am guessing this is a checkpoint on entry to radioactive zone? This is some 10 km from the plant. Once again no obvious protective gear. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

This company is still some mere 10 km away from the plant and it appears to be operating. There is also plenty of traffic on the roads. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Has Western media been feeding us BS about the scale of the disaster? I didn't think 10 km from a nuclear plant that had multiple melt downs was safe let alone without any protective gear.

Kinja'd!!!

Something tells me this petrol station with Japanese el trucko parked next to it is operational.

Kinja'd!!!

Obvious signs of life at this place some 10-15 km away. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Bruh, let me get some gas at this anus station. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Yup, supercenter plant 4 is a mere 10 km away. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

And what do we see here just down the road from that sign? Oh, it's just a couple of people farming...10 km away from multiple nuclear meltdowns. Right across the road are a bunch of guys wearing full body suits. Fresh vegetables from Japan anyone? !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Now this intersection which is not much further away has open businesses on all 4 corners !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Perhaps they are making Godzilla here. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Edit: some abandoned cars found in the area. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Japanese popo. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Poor little Scubaru. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

Don't think this guy is getting his bus back. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Kinja'd!!!

See if you can find some cool stuff.

Kinja'd!!!

Poor R-2, it survived 40 years unmolested only to be flooded, irradiated, and abandoned.

Wouldn't the weather patterns have a lot to do withwhat areas are affected? Like if the winds blow east than everything to the west should be ok?
